New Zealand Ministry of Healthβs five stage pandemic influenza management strategy has βalert codesβ which signal a shift from one stage to the next.
This plan provides the strategies %The_Company% will use to manage impacts, including how it will:
- Maintain essential activities
- Eliminate or minimise the spread of infection in the workplace
- Close daily operations, should this be mandated or become required because of reduced resources
- Be ready to return to normal services as quickly as we can.
- The Ministry of Health will indicate a change from one stage to the next. Check www.moh.govt.nz

%The_Company% will ensure they are aware of the Ministry alert level and act appropriately.
During the red Activation stage, they will:
Carry out all requirements from the Pandemic Policy Statement which are required, including:
- Activating the Pandemic Manager position as critical and communicating their details to everyone
- Communicating social distancing
- Moving to a work from home situation, where possible
- Having signage and resources available in the workplace for company requirements around sanitation
- Providing appropriate additional PPE, where required e.g., masks
During the green Stand Down stage, they will:
- Assist with staff issues around returning to work
- Support all workers with additional resources, if required
- Hold meetings for discussions around what happened and if there are ongoing concerns
