    The organisation will ensure that outsourced processes affecting OH&S management are controlled. The type and degree of control to be applied will be defined within the OH&S management system.

    The type and degree of control of an outsourced process are part of the OH&S management system, wherever the process occurs in the workplace.

    Procurement:

Emergency Preparedness and Response

The organisation will identify potential emergency situations; assess OH&S risks associated with these emergency situations and maintain a process to prevent or minimise OH&S risks from potential emergencies, including:

  • the establishment of a planned response to emergency situations, including first aid
  • the testing and exercise of emergency response capability
  • the evaluation and revision of emergency preparedness processes and procedures, including after testingand after the occurrence of emergency situations
  • communication of information to workers at all levels of the organisation on duties/responsibilities
  • the provision of training for emergency prevention, first aid, preparedness and response
  • the communication of relevant information to contractors, visitors, emergency response services,government authorities, and othersAt all stages of the process, the organisation will consider the needs and capabilities of all relevant interested parties. The organisation will retain documents regarding process and plans for responding to potential emergency situations.
